Our CEO Mr Ronnie Counihan has been planning the upgrade to our Kitchen Garden at Renvyle House since early Spring this year with some helpful tips from organic gardener and author Klaus Laitenberger (who will also be giving loads of tips and advice at our ‘Gardening Weekend‘ this October 19th – 21st) .
The additional poly tunnels were put up, the seedlings were carefully tended to and moved from one tunnel to the other as they matured. Some of the hardier plants were replanted outdoors in the Herb & Kitchen garden. After carefully considering what we would need for our Restaurant; the various herbs, salad leaves and vegetables were planned for and planted throughout the Summer with very fruitful results with the very freshest ingredients 50 paces from the kitchen! You can taste the difference.
The Autumn and Winter seedlings are being set presently with hopefully the same successful results.
